What is hyaluronic acid?

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a glycosaminoglycan found in the dermal extracellular matrix (intercellular fluid), which provides structural support and nutrients to the skin and gives volume and fullness thanks to its hydrophilic (water retaining) capacity. Mechanism of Effect Dermal filler products are applied to the dermis or more. It corrects wrinkles and improves facial contour by filling the volume deficiencies in the deep tissue sections. Dermal filler products can also be categorized in terms of space-occupying fillers and mechanisms of action of biostimulants. While filling materials that take up space ensure the recovery of lost volume without causing a significant change in other tissues in the relationship, bio-stimulants stimulate fibroblasts for new collagen synthesis. Commonly used dermal fillers are collagen and HA; Biostimulants include KaHA (Calcium hydroxyapatite) and poly-L-Lactylkacid (PLLA).
